SPRING 1990

Member of Eden United Church notice there are local hungry families and start an informal food bank

SPRING 1990

The food bank becomes an offcial program of the church

2002

This volunteer-run program is incorperated and becomes an ocially registered charity

The program becomes overwhelming because of the need and donations. Volunteers wonder if they should just close

2005

A part-time manager is hired. A part-time staff person joins at the end of the year

The food bank expands its service area beyond Meadowale to include L5N & L5M postel codes

2007

Name changed to Eden Community Food Bank

2009

Unity Drive location is opened to serve L5L & L5K postal codes

2010

First Executive Director is hired

2011

We intentionally focus on providing fresh food through the Food Bank

2012

Meadowvale Neighbours Cafe begins at Battleford Cilent Centre

2013

Learning Kitchen officially launched

Fresh Produce Box Program Begins

New Vision & Mission statements announced

Eden officially becomes a Good Food Organization inalliance with Community Food Centres Canada
