The Learning Kitchen works to serve the needs of the Eden Community by providing the opportunity for people from all walks of life to improve their practical cooking skills.
Our kitchen provides employment training and meal production. We also share our commercial kitchen with local organizations.

Team Building
The kitchen provides cooking classes which help people learn some basic kitchen and food preparation skills. Corporate and community groups are able to participate in one-time cooking classes for groups looking to give back to the community. Groups provide a financial donation, then spend approximately three hours in the kitchen cooking meals, creating portions and then packaging them for Eden Food for Change programs. A group can have their logo on the packaging if they wish. One cooking class can often produce enough for 200-300 meals!
This is a great team-building event where you can have fun helping people and improve your kitchen skills at the same time

In the summer, Eden Food for Change works with local organizations to provide healthy nutritious lunches to children from low-income neighbourhoods. During this time, our kitchen provides summer employment to people to help provide these meals while also giving them the skills and experience to confidently apply for positions in the food service industry.
