NEW EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR ANNOUNCEMENT

Eden Food for Change’s Board of Directors is pleased to announce the appointment of Peter Costello as Executive Director effective February 3rd, 2020.  Peter joined the team at Eden just over eight years ago and has been a key driver of change and innovation within the organization.

Peter was instrumental in creating our Learning Kitchen and expanding both the scale and scope of its operations.  Initially focused on teaching food bank members food preparation and cooking skills, the program has expanded and now also provides new immigrant culinary skills training, provides corporate and community cooking classes and team building events, and supports the Mississauga and Oakville Meals on Wheels programs through the provision of over 65,000 low cost meals annually to seniors in our community.  Peter was also the key driver in developing our previous Fresh Produce Box program which successfully delivered over 70,000 low cost produce boxes to members of our community.

Before joining the Eden team Peter led food and beverage operations at award winning country inns, hotels and internationally recognized restaurants. Peter possesses thirty plus years of hospitality experience and a penchant for serving and helping others.

Please join me in welcoming Peter to his new role.  Peter’s dedication to Eden and our mission is second to none and he is looking forward to working with our incredible staff, fantastic volunteers and outstanding supporters in continuing to improve food security to those struggling within our community.
