Community Service Hours
Are you a student who needs community service hours for high school, for a post-secondary application, or simply because you want to make an important difference in your community? We have opportunities for students to complete their community service hours individually. You can volunteer on one of our regular year-round weekly shifts, volunteer during the summer, or volunteer to help out at special events, which usually occur on weekends. We do have waiting lists for these opportunities, so don’t leave things until the last minute! If you would like to volunteer with us, please contact our volunteer coordinator at email@example.com for more information. Parents, please note that the contact must be made by the student, not by you. Please note also that due to the number of students who would like to volunteer with us, our student waiting lists are restricted to youth living in western Mississauga. If you reside in a different area and would like to volunteer more locally, please check out other food bank locations for more information.
Student Volunteer Night
Student Volunteer Night is held the 3rd Tuesday of every month(from September – May) at 2-3185 Unity Drive, for 2½ hours, and is an opportunity for high school students to learn about the food bank and partake in special projects.
If you are a high school student and want to make a difference in our community along with dozens of other students join us at Student Volunteer Night. Learn about hunger and poverty in western Mississauga at our monthly meetings and plan activities and events to do something about it!
Get community hours for both the monthly meetings and other activities you’re involved in.
You can register for the event by clicking on the appropriate date below. Please note that registration should be completed by students themselves and not by their parents.

Another option is our kitchen experience where a group can come in and prepare food to be distributed through our food bank.
