With limited funds, Eden Food for Change (EFFC) utilizes minimum administrative tools in order to help steer funds to providing fresh food through their Food Bank. However, these low-cost solutions were actually hampering the organization who saw their phones working intermittently and their internet taking minutes to download a simple web page.
For the past few years EMKAL Inc. (EMKAL) had been providing EFFC with technical support at a discounted rate and were engaged to help find a solution. Due to the organization’s location and lack of infrastructure, traditional solutions for improving speed and quality of essential services were too cost prohibitive.
EMKAL identified a point-to-point wireless internet service and decided they would not only cover the new internet costs but would also provide an increased level of helpdesk support to the organization completely free of charge. In addition to financial donations that provide healthy food to our members, EFFC receives more than $25,000 in yearly donations and services through EMKAL’s ongoing commitment:
